The concept of "making a teddy bear of a digital image", block type figure which is available from Medicom Toy, was born in April 2001.

Produced under the rule "without adding anything other than the nine parts that make up the body, to design only printing the body" and, to tie-up and collaboration various companies, artists, TV and movies, now more than several thousands types of BE@RBRICK have been sold and distributed.
